TRX Suspension Training
TRX started as a few lengths of parachute webbing and has developed into an entirely new and original category of functional exercise: Suspension Training. This ground-breaking fitness regiment was born in wharf-side warehouses, ships and submarines when Navy SEALS wanted to stay in peak condition but had limited space and equipment. TRX is an innovative and contemporary training method to safely and rapidly improve fitness.
TRX Suspension Training is available at the YWCA in group classes, or individually with a personal trainer.

TRX Questions
Who will benefit from Suspension Training®?
Everyone can benefit from Suspension Training®. The user can effortlessly
control the resistance and level of difficulty by simply shifting
the position of their body. Perfect for gentle rehabilitation, hardcore
athletic training, and everything in between.
Is Suspension Training® appropriate for people who are out of shape
or just beginning an exercise program?
Yes, The user has control over the amount of bodyweight resistance,
control of the angle in which they place their body, and control of
their stability based on foot placement, which works well for those
looking to increase their fitness level. One of the best features of
the Suspension Training® system is the knowledgeable trainers who
provide modifications and multilevel workouts for those of different
abilities.
How is Suspension Training® different from other types of resistance
training?
Traditional weight training often only works one muscle at a time
which is likely to lead to overuse injuries and muscular imbalances,
as well as potentially limit strength and movement gains. Suspension
Training® allows for the use of multiple planes of motion and works
multiple muscles and joints simultaneously.
