Hours: 3:30-5:30 Weekdays
Description:
Summary: Volunteer Monday through Thursday, from 3:30-5:30, to assist youth with homework tutoring for kindergarten through sixth grades.
Outline of Volunteer’s Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Assist with homework tutoring for age’s kindergarten through sixth.
• Instill leadership skills through team building games, character education and youth volunteering.
• Help with arts and crafts sessions.
• Clean up after snacks and art projects.
• Demonstrate the ability to work with children using conflict resolutions.
• Model positive behavior.
Qualifications:
• Comfortable working with school aged children
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Training/Supervision/Reporting: *On job training.
Commitment:
2007-2008 School Year
Outcome/Goals:
Create a classroom environment free of racial bias, caring and understanding, and leadership roles.
